Although I can't begin to play in this style I love hearing it.
Is there a term in arabic or turkish for the quick trills he is using so much? One of you guys should make a slow video of that stuff for me. I can
get close but I feel like I'm missing something

This guy is a great player!
...never heard of him before. . .
now I am wondering how many great arab players i still have not heard about.
i am pretty familiar with the turk scene, but the arab scene is still a bit mysterious for me----
thanks!

I was wondering when someone would bring in Abadi Al Johar! When we are talking about top oud players in the world today, Abadi is right up there.
I've always been amazed at his magnificent technique, and always played with bags of soul. Thanks for posting this clip Samir.
Aren't his main ouds made by M Shehata?
cheers, MW

I like this soul with oud playing.....and this way to master the sound.
I discover here a great oud player, with an extraordinary technique that doesn't " eat " the tune...
Thanks a lot, Samir. ( could you translate : "a clinic in digging in the fingerboard". I'm not sure that I understand the english here...)
I'm right to get a slow video , so I could undrestand and learn a lot ....
I like this one also ( what a sound..........may be the studio, but not sure!)

je veux dire qu'il est un expert a chercher les notes tout a fait au fond du manche. il démontre beaucoup de precision.
