Taiseer's free solo concert in Davis, CA, USA last Spring was excellent and totally worthwhile for my family to attend, even though the 2-way train
tickets cost us $100. He performed a mix of Ottoman (and Ottoman-style)
Classical repertoire as well as a couple of folk songs. He is a very technically proficient oudist.
Enjoy,
John

All,
If you get a chance to talk to Taiseer, please add your voice to the chorus of those demanding that he record a solo CD!
Thanks,
John

Hello all,
I say this is a must-see concert !
Taiseer Elias is indeed one of the most amazing oudists out there. His work within the great band (oud-violin-riq) named "Zeriab Trio" is quite
breathtaking.
It would be super if he plays "Zekrayat" (originally composed by Qasabji) in that festival, it's one the best by Dr. Taiseer and Zeriab Trio.... his
risha technique, Maqam modulations are awesome
Would be great if you can post some recordings in the future Matthew,
Regards,
