Hello Oud-brothers.Last week I did a visit to Izmir, and there I have seeing and play Baris Karatekeli uds.
Here are some fotos of his instruments.
I took two for instruments, both of them for two of my students, but I am so sorry that I have to give them to theyr owners....
The sound is the deep Izmir sound, warm trebles and wooden bass.....I just can say that I really appreciate his work, and certainly Baris is a man of
honour and very serious to deal with.
I will let you know after MY ud that I am waiting for.
Here are some fotos at Izmir and two made last night that I have played with it on a local here place....
P.S.BEst sound possible with schetler products, and without amplification it has a strong volume too...
Regards to all and please forgive me if I will not respond earlier than after 3-4 weeks, but I will be in the army guys.send me e-mails on
myrinousios@hotmail.com for more informations,but I will respond after 3-4 weeks.Baris is also in the forum,as a member.

Congratulations Sir,
You have a very nice instrument. Mr. Karatekeli's ouds are fine, playable and very lovely sounded. I have just played one of his jobs today and it
was really amazing. Have good times with your oud...

Very pretty ouds Spyro, I like his individuality in the mizraplik.
I hope to hear them soon (and take care of yourself).
Kalorizika!
