Patent law varies from country to country. In Australia there is a new kind of patent - known as an Innovation patent - available only in Australia.
The Innovation patent is intended to 'fast track' patent applications presumably in the interests of encouraging new invention and entrepreurism.
The attached patent application - "A Circular Transportation Facilitation Device" - was among the first of the inventions granted as an Innovation
patent. Now, if one can patent the wheel in Australia how about the oud!
Any suggestions as to how the title of the patent application might read?
Now's your chance Greg - I'll split the proceeds with you 50/50!!

Hey John Michael Keogh, I got some 7000 years old Sumerian friends that want to ask you a couple of questions regarding the Circular Transportation
Facilitation Device of "yours" !
MAIS QUELLE HORREUR!
Seriously , "The new innovation patent can be prepared without professional help and only requires claimants to show "innovation", not "invention"."

That would work for innovations made to the oud...
