Hi everybody,
I'm sure this question has been asked many times on this forum, but I will ask again:
Are there any oud teachers in London UK, preferably in the West London area?
I seem to be stuck in my little ways, and could really do with somebody pointing me into the right direction....
Thanks,
Seb

I'm not aware of anything other than the places mentioned on your thread of a while ago.

There's Michael Moussa up in Bradford too though.

Sorry, should have read the post properly - thought you were referring to sellers/makers rather than teachers.
Ahmed Mukhtar is in Holborn. I know he's come in for some criticism on this site but he's a great player and a really good teacher - he believes in
quite a rigorous approach to mastering the basics of both technique and theory. He won't let you be lazy - something I, with my exercise-averse
practicing tendencies, found very useful. info@amukhtar.com

Thank you Dave.
I spoke to a teacher in Acton which is very close to home, and we'll have a trial later on this week. If he's no good I will contact the teacher you
recommend.
Thanx again everybody. This forum is great, and everybody is always soooo quick with replies.
Happy new year!
Seb
