...being too lazy to learn Arabic script (again! ...I learned it 15 years ago and since forgot completely)...
I have noticed that there is an enormous amount of clip material of Arabic oudis on youtube but the majority of the titling and tagging is in Arabic
script. This unfortunately essentially renders those clips inaccessible to the non-Arab public.
So I have favour to ask anyone who knows Arabic... could you please find some clips by the following oudis, since there is nothing by them tagged in
Roman script... THANKS!!!
Arif Jonman (yemen)
Abedi El Gohar
Said Yagazel (saudi)
Amar El Shiriay
T H A N K S !
...or anything else worthwhile that might not be otherwise found due to Arabic tagging...

Hello all- good thing we have Arabic speaking friends in the forum to help us get around. However what about all those oud players in the forum whose
first language isn't English and/or speak very little and want to communicate in the forum, etc?
I guess it works both ways!
Souheil, thanks for posting those clips. would you or anyone out there have the sheet music for one of the ones you posted: 'taht el yessmina fillil'
?

yes... the Turks made life easier for Westerners, but it is a pity to lose the arabic script - it's the most beautiful in the world in my opinion. . .

Hi Mathew
I don't have any sheets of those. Hope someone else does. For "taht el yessmna filiil" this is a Tunisian song from what they say in the video.
Latifa, the singer, is from Tunisia. I never heard this song before but it resembles too much Asmahaan songs such as this one.
