Hi Edward,
The Arabic on the info block says, جورج ميشيل = "George Michel," i.e, this guy: http://www.oud.eclipse.co.uk/michel.html
The taqasim from him on Zeryab might include some not on the CD: http://www.zeryab.com/E/George_Michael_Taksim.htm
Peace,
John

Edward
One of O.K.'s oudis was Mohammad al-Qasabji (or 'Asabgi in Egyptian Arabic pronunciation) who wrote many of her songs. I don't know if you mean him,
because of course Riyad al Sunbati wrote many of her great songs as well.
You can find numerous references on the Web and on You Tube

This is ALL a fantastic help to me friends!
I am discovering a whole new realm - - - there is so much to digest... and the more I absorb thru the net, the more it all makes sense when I get
out around Cairo and experience what is left of this old art form in real life.
THANKS

George Michel was amazing, a Coptic Christian I think and the cd 'melodies of the oud' is something else, one of my favourites.
