Hi, some of you may remember me, some not. I was here long ago and I have minimal grasp on Arabic music theory and none at all at any technical
proficiency, hah. Anyway, I have a few problems.
I learned alot of Western theory by looking at notations of pop music and using guitar-pro, but with Arabic this is far more difficult. I can find no
notation of any modern songs. The only ones I can find or of old vocal pieces or of a couple of taqsims, many of which are barely legible; the notes
are either smeared or the staff lines are barely visible, not to mention it's sometimes difficult to tell which is a flat or a half-flat. A notation I
have of Abudul-Wahhab's Samaie Nahawand worked well with me, but I have serious doubts about the authenticity of one or two measures, since it is
quite dissonant.
I went off in a tanget, I suppose. but my question is, is there a reliable site any of you know that I can rely on for notations? Or any music
theory?
Thanks in advance, I appreciate it.
