Hi Guys
I have made my own electric oud and I have had a lot of comments and email sent to me.
Many people ask for messurement, how I did it and if I have some to sale.
I am thinking majbe making 3 or 4 instrument more to sell is there a intressest and how mutch are you people willing to pay for it.
I am not shure if I will put some leather on them

Great job. It's a good design and it sounds really good. I've never played an electric and I'm not in the market for one just now, but am toying with
the idea some day. It seems to me that the most convincing sounding ones (including this one) sound like they're strung with pretty low tension.
I probably wouldn't go for the leather covering - I might confuse it for my sofa. The other thing I'd say from this prototype is you could try and
make the lines a bit finer for weight and aesthetics - particularly the peg box, which could taper more towards the end (nice horse head though), but
also maybe the body. But the important thing is the sound and that seems pretty good to my ear.

Although I am not fan of electric ouds, but this is the most beautiful one I've seen so far! Very elegant..

Great Job Dani! - I think I wouldnt like the leather. Perhaps borrow from the guitar world and cover them with nice wood veneer like carpathian
elmwood.
The sound is good, you might consider the installation of some kind of onboard preamp with a bit of EQ and Vol control.
This would make more appealing to the professional musician.
A bit of traditional ornamentation might be added for visual appeal too.
I think to sell them one would have to have good materials, precise workmanship and the look and feel of quality as well as good sound.
I think you have a great idea and a marketable instrument once perfected. If I were into them I would buy one.

Sounds a lot better than my sukar electric oud. The tuners are a great idea. And the pre amp you put is great idea.
I wonder if I can get my sukar to sound like that with the right eq.
I REALLY dont like how the leather looks. Go with a nice dark natural looking stain on the wood.
