Hi, I haven't been around for a while, been busy. Amongst other things I've been getting to know the older generation of musicians here in israel who
are still playing every night all night long, either being paid or for the love of music. I've had the privilige of sort of finding a teacher and the
privilige of hearing Said Ajami play upclose on the beach at night. He has a unique style of playing which is really smooth and simple yet fluent, and
he surprises you with the most unexpected mouth-dropping modulations in his taqasimat. He plays like his father (though he didn't learn from him) -
Yosef Shem-Tov, and I recorded this song that Yosef wrote in his memory.

Wow Masel, great playing and singing. I envy your access to some of these old timers and their style and fantastic feeling is obviously rubbing off on
you.

Thanks for this
I loved it, really surprising and unorthodox little passages and bass lines woven in - a real delight to listen to.
