greetings fellow oudophiles. My dear friend is pestering me to build an oud Bashir style. I am trying to find details on inside specs-braces
placement, shapes, and soundboard thicknesses. any help from anybody out there would be hugely appreciated!
just finished building my 2nd sitar- here's pix- 400+ hrs of work, craziness! I did this with ivory from recycled piano keys- wish I could find bone
or antler strips- but I just dislike plastic entirely and won't use it. I'm not trying to be a purist looney but I only use hide glue for everything
and everclear/shellac French polish.
