Is "Bedrosian" oud worth something? I will upload the photos, just don't know how to download them from my mobile phone...Hopefully somebody will drop
by and upload it for me.

Hi Marina,
if it is a Sumbat it can be a very precious oud!

Ye, it is written Sunbat. Who wants it? What do you think how much is it worth? This is my student's oud.

Hi Marina,
Just a clarification, what's written on the label is: "Garabet Sunbat Der Bedrossian", Garabet was the son of Sunbat and his style was to make
over-ornated ouds, he was active in Damascus until the seventies.
The year of making is not clear on the label but I guess it could be more like late 60s early 70s

Thank you Alami!
So what I'll tell they guy that own is? Is it worth 1000$ or not realy?

An old oud value is a subjective matter, I don't think there is an absolute reference value in terms of $.
It is a Garabet der Bedrossian and it is around 40 years old, if the structure and the sound are good then this oud has a value, a 1000$ ? less or
more ? it will depend on how much one would fall in love and on whether one likes or dislikes this kind of inlays and ornamentations.

i hate rain on anyone's parade, but garabed oud are very easy to find in syria as they were mass produced to some extent. i would say 1000 us is very
exaggerated.

I think also that 1000$ is too much for this oud, but I promissed the guy that I will put the pics.
