Hello everyone,
I am very pleased to announce that on Friday, October 2nd at 9:00 PM, Alwan for the Arts in the Financial District of Manhattan will be hosting a second 3 Ouds Concert featuring:
Ara Dinkjian (Armenian Oud)
Joseph Tawadros (Egyptian Oud)
Mavrothi Kontanis (Greek Oud)
And Special Guest Jame Tawadros (Percussion)
The concert will feature three solo oud performances by each of the featured artists, and then a final joint performance with all three oud players
together.
It should be a great show, with a wonderful mix of styles and repertoire, and I am very honored to be a part of it. Alwan is a really nice venue with
a warm atmosphere, and a great place to meet other music enthusiasts. I hope anyone in the New York City area will come to this very special
concert.

Thanks guys! I'm looking forward to it, mostly for the chance to listen to Ara and Joe live!
I'd love the chance to play in Greece, especially with these two oud giants. If we can make it happen, let's do it!
Looking forward to seeing you Mike!
Take care,
mavrothis

Hi Mav,
What a great concert that promises to be. I spoke to Joe a couple of days ago and he is very excited about it.
He is flying out of Sydney today, but he sent me these new Youtube links in the early hours of the morning:

They are high quality 2006 live recordings with James and electric bass player Ben Rodgers.
Regards,
Greg
