Hi everyone,
I haven't been posting much of late but I have great news for those in southern California! Joseph Tawadros will be staying with me in Los Angeles (
from October 16th to maybe November 1st or 2nd) and he is going to be available for private or group lessons. I will be announcing some dates for
group lessons as time grows near but for those considering this special opportunity to study with a modern master please email me at: varis@varis.com
to set up a private lesson. I don't know what he wants to charge yet but I'm sure it will be very reasonable.
I'm also trying to set up a special concert for him and I'd be interested in any suggestions for a venue. Talk to you soon!

JT Arrived

Well Joe has arrived but today he went off to Las Vegas with the Gregorian brothers to play at a gig. He'll be returning by Thursday (I think) – at
any rate he will be available for lessons, etc... by this coming weekend. I got a quick little lesson from him right after he arrived and wow... what
a great guy. If you play oud at all, you owe it to yourself to get a lesson.
I'll post some videos as things develop but everyone in the general southern California area should try and see Joe at some point in the next couple
of weeks!

If it were possible to wear out a cd by playing it too much, I would have worn out JT's Epiphany. So cool that he is here.
