Wallnut oud for Itman


Hi Igor,
This is how far your wallnut Oud is.
another 4 ribs and the bowl is finished, the epecia soundboard is sanded\scraped to 2 mm. it will go down to 1.7mm
hopefully I can mount the soundboard on the bowl this weekend. it is freezing down here, and my working place is bbbrrrrrrrrrr :)

this is how far I'm. . the pegbox , bridge and pickguard are next. Almost there. the oud has a nice shape and the soundboard can't wait anymore for the strings :)

Nice ... only the nut, the pegs and strings are missing ... and the varnishing. The pick guard is nice.

This is the final post about your ud. it is ready and waiting to be played.
it is a nice oud, very nice. :)

Bowl: walnut
soundboard: Sitka spruce
bridge, walnut
nut: bone,
pegs: lemon
fingerboard ebony + macassar ebony veneer on top
pickguard, walnut (roots)
pegbox, walnut(outer)/beech(inner)
strings d'addario.

I hope you will enjoy it on the podium :)
