Wallnut oud for Itman
Hi Igor,
This is how far your wallnut Oud is.
another 4 ribs and the bowl is finished, the epecia soundboard is sanded\scraped to 2 mm. it will go down to 1.7mm
hopefully I can mount the soundboard on the bowl this weekend. it is freezing down here, and my working place is bbbrrrrrrrrrr

Nice ... only the nut, the pegs and strings are missing ... and the varnishing. The pick guard is nice.
I bet Igor will love this oud.

it is a nice oud, very nice.
Bowl: walnut
soundboard: Sitka spruce
bridge, walnut
nut: bone,
pegs: lemon
fingerboard ebony + macassar ebony veneer on top
pickguard, walnut (roots)
pegbox, walnut(outer)/beech(inner)
strings d'addario.
I hope you will enjoy it on the podium

Very beautiful instrument, though I would have expected ebony pegs, but the lemon looks interesting too.
I bet it will sound similar to mine.
