Oud Player in New Orleans Area?
Hi All--
My fiance and I are getting married in New Orleans this May and we're trying to find an oud player in the New Orleans area to perform at our ceremony.
We're having a difficult time finding someone...anyone have any suggestions?

As far as I know, there's no one in New Orleans. I know one classical guitarist/lutenist that dabbles in the oud a little bit.
I've spent a lot of time there and was living there last year for a while, it seemed like I was still the only oud player.
I still go down there periodically, though, and it might be possible to work something out. When in May is your wedding?

thanks brian. we're getting married on the 22nd. if you think you'd be in town then, drop me an email and we can discuss. my fiance is palestinian, so
we're hoping to have some traditional arabic music at the ceremony. thanks so much... listening to some tunes on yr website as type...great stuff!
