Excuse my ignorance but what is Taxim? I presume it is another of whatever type of thing Maqam is? I'm not a oud player yet so I haven't a clue. Are
they different modes or something?

Taxim, Taksim, Taqsim
An improvisation on one maqam or modulating between different maqamat. Such improvisations are sometimes used as a lead-in to a song, or may be
stand-alone, such as in Branko's presentation.
Nice work Branko, I enjoyed it very much.
Regards,
Greg

Very nice Branko, quite moving and lyrical. The tonality has an air of Indian raga. You make this sit so well on the oud and you have very tasteful
intonation. Thank you.
Best Wishes, Charlie

Yo, Branko, sort of a pentatonic Ajam feel to it, atypical, orginal. Charlie's right, it has a raga air to it. I like it!

Thank you guys for the words of encouragement.
