Just published at Luthierbuilt.com
Hello, for german speaking forum members:
I've just published the german version of an article about buying a guitar or having it built on order by a luthier.
kaufen oder bauen lassen?
This is the story around how it came that I ordered my oud from Sebstian Stenzel and about the relationship with a luthier.
best wishes
Robert
PS this Forum might be interesting for everybody involved in building instruments as well as for people who are looking for luthiers...

Hi Robert, nice story.
I'm sure you are very happy with your oud, but I'm still not convinced to try a guitar maker yet, (but getting the urge to build my own!)
Following the link @ the bottom I just looked at your photo album of your oud being made...
86 photo's and not a single one of the bracing! Is the bracing some kind of secret?

Hi Sazi, Sebastian was working on the oud for over one year and he was preparing himself to build it for almost as long as he builds guitars.
He is not a lightweight guy, everything he does is very well conceived.
Yes, I'm sorry, the bracing is secret ... I was specifially asked not to publish pictures yet, and I stick to my friend's request.
best wishes
Robert
PS I just put Aquila copper light tension, and the Oud soars ...
