I'm on a bit of a Youtube session tonight after a long unproductive week

- very udi Hrant, (was listening on a long car journey this week so not entirely unproductive) - love it, and enjoy the sheer authenticity and love of playing,

Hey Leon- it's those unproductive weeks that make the productive ones seem even better!

yeah, really enjoy that youtube clip of Christos playing, pure simple love of playing the oud comes through....and to think one day down that long oud road a lot of us here in Mikeouds forum will be looking that way... wow, what a thought :airguitar:

He's very youthful - almost adolescent in his body language. I love the bit at the end of the second vid when the cd gets pushed into the bottom left of the picture

I have met and had a 'scotch' (whisky) with Christos, who is now in his eightees. He is a really nice man and I love his old-school playing.

I also have the CD (Christos Baltzidis - Master of the Oud). It was sent to me a few years ago by Linsey Pollak (who I think produced it). It is a CD of taqasim, so certainly worth having.

The are a few used copies on the net and one on eBay UK right now.
