Soprano oud - oud for children
Hello friends,
here I want to present to you another new oud model I created. It is a long standard for bowed instruments, and for guitars since some years too, that
we instrument makers offer small instruments too. For the oud some small instruments do exist, but not so many. I once saw a wonderful woman oud by
Manol with a scale of 52 cm.
Last year at the oud forum in Cairo in the big ensemble by Naseer shamma a soprno oud was used too. This gave me the inspiration to design a new small
model, which is as good for a soprano oud or for children. The result you can see here in a few pictures or on my website too:

5 - or 6 strings
tuned in high c of high f
13 ribs maple and cherrywood
but the number of ribs may be more, let's say up to 25
