clips and likes from everywhere

alright peeps, how y'all?

inspired by the somali music thread i thought it would be a good idea to start a number of threads where we can share and introduce clips and soundbites from all over the oud world for everybody to learn about different styles of oud dear to our hearts.

for example, i know a bit about and absolutely love yemeni music, so i will start a thread about yemeni oud.

somebody else might know a lot about sudanese oud music, so this person could start a thread about just that.

other threads could cover armenian, iraqi, moroccan, eritrean, saudi or any other styles.

this would enable us to search, learn and share in a structured manner.

i know edward started a thread a while back about general clips to share (which was very interesting and fun), but i reckon a more structured approach could be well interesting.

what y'all think?

who wants to start what thread?

all the best,

enjoy your weekends!

ps:

i think it would be a good idea to concentrate on the more unknown underground stuff. so instead of posting endless clips of munir bashir in the iraqi oud thread i would like to see clips of very good players a lot of people might not be too familiar with.

does that make sense?

peace to y'all!

and one more thing:

greg - for some reason i posted this in 'pro sound clips'. dunno if that's the right forum, as i'm equally interested to hear stuff from 'amateurs'. feel free to move the thread to whatever forum seems appropriate.
