My new oud made by Fadi Matta
I am since a few week the happy owner of a new oud made by Fadi Matta.
It is a seven courses, floating bridge, one rosette.
Bowl made of maple and walnut.
I asked him a colorless matte finish to be as close as possible of the look of the natural wood. The effect is fantastic.
The sound is very powerfull (my daughter thought it was amplified when she heard it for the first time).
Very well balanced (even if the strings are still new).
And it has an INCREDIBLE sustain.
Here is a sound clip with photos on youtube.
It is recorded with a Zoom H4, at a distant of about 1 meter.
No effect and no correction.
By the way, it also is my first sound clip on the forum.
