New Magdi Moussa Oud
Hi all. I recently got a Gamil Georges replica from our friend Mr Magdi Moussa and figured I'd share it with you. It has a very deep bassy sound to it
more Syrian than Egyptian with a short (58.5) scale length. It also has a lot of midrange which makes Aquila strings sound way too honky. In contrasts
nylons sound quite nice. There is no neck buz which I find refreshing. Pictures are attached. Sound clip:

I had the pleasure of trying this oud before it left the UK. Very nice indeed !!!
Magdi Moussa produces a whole range of great oud sounds and is a truly fine person, such enjoyable company.
Indeed, we are very lucky to have him here in England.
Ameer, I love the Bayati, and the sound you bring out of Michael's oud, thank you for sharing this.
Best Wishes, Charlie
