I just joined up, after getting my first oud, a Tharwat Saber Padouk Egyptian 12 string over the Internet. It shows signs of having been played in the
factory (finger nail dents and slightly lighter color (i.e. wear) down near the body around the second string(s). Must have been a shop favorite. I
got lucky. Set up is 3.75 mm at the neck bottom. Did my research here, guys, and thanks. And I do have questions for later. Oh, and I've been playing
guitar for years (steel strings). Nylon is so much easier.
