Forum Member "Excentrik" in the News
Hi All,
Just wanted to post an article that appeared in our local "alternative" newpaper. Tarik, A.K.A. "Excentrik" (though I don't think he's posted in the
Forum since 2007) was in the news.
Peace out,
"Udi" John

John,
thanks for the tip. I admit I didn't know him but I checked out his music and it's simply great! Also the article hit a nerve with me and I devoured
it with avid interest. So thank you!!
Tarik,
great great music, man! Keep up the good work! Any chance of seeing you touring England in the near future by any chance? I'd love to see you live!
Peace
Giorgio

Nice article
There is plenty of forum member living in the countries that they are not born in, but thanx to hospitality and humanity of those countries, we can
have a better live. We can understand the feelings of Tarik... It is very positive that he put his feelings into music.

No problem! Just hoping you would do the same for me, should the occasion arise.
Thanks,

@John- It will for sure bro!
@Giorgio- yes it's the same Samia Farah- She's an amazing mind and person as well- we met through myspace years ago, and I actually ended up visiting
her in London.

Went to see Farik (Excentrik) at the 355 last night in Oakland. His fellow musicians in The 3 Mohammads are of the BeBop persuasion, and very strong,
Timothy Orr on drums and Josh Allen on tenor sax, it comes out sort of Late Coltrane with an oud! They tore it a new one last night. Don't miss 'em
next time they play.

Wow, it sounds great! Be-bop and Coltrane with an oud! I can't even begin to imagine! It's fantastic that the oud is employed beyond the (however
beautiful) borders of Arabic and/or Turkish parameters. Thanks for sharing, Fernand.
Well, Tarik, it would be great if you lot'd get over to Europe. Also, I tried to find some of your performances as The 3 Mohammads on the 'Tube with
no luck. Have you please got any link I can view? I'd love to check it out!
Thanks
Giorgio
