Ibrahim Sukar Oud Model # 2

Hey guys,

I'm looking for some sound or video samples of Sukars model # 2 oud since I was offered this model. Unfortunately there is no possibility to play the oud. I would be very grateful if you could provide me with some information, sound samples, video samples, advice and experiences with regard to this model. How does model # 2 sound compared to the other models? Does it have any similarities to the others? What material is used for this model?

Surely there is someone owning model # 2.

Thanks in advance

Never seen a Model 2 in person, but it seems very similar to a Model 1. See my post today on the Model 8.

All Sukars sound like Sukars, because the soundboard and bracing is always about the same. The model 2 is made of the same materials pretty much as a Model 1. I expect it to sound the same. That is usually loud, with a strong midrange voice, and good bass. Something like a 211, 212 seems to sound brighter, and something like a 14 seems to sound deeper, stronger in the bass. By adjusting the action you can get a rather more "Turkish" timbre if low, and a rather more "Egyptian" percussive timbre if high.
