Anyone familiar with this Allepo luthier?
I'm 90% sure of this anglicized pronunciation:
Jamil Yourghaki Kandlfat
He made ouds in Allepo in the 80s, I believe.
Just was curious if anybody knows of him and his work...
Thanks...

I seem to remember someone selling an oud by that maker dated sometime in the 40s. Can't tell you anymore unfortunately.

This eBay listing is the reason I posted: http://www.ebay.com/itm/230833480092?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_...
It's a nice-looking oud, isn't it? The seller listed it as Egyptian, but it seems to be Syrian, although the ornamentation does look Egyptian.

Here's an ad for an oud made by his father:http://www.mikeouds.com/messageboard/viewthread.php?action=printable&tid=8971
I still think I saw one of his ouds for sale on this board but I can't seem to find it.
