New Album
Hello fellow oudis!
I've posted before about my Arabic-Jazz band, Nashaz . . . we are working on recording an album and if you can take the time to check out our
Kickstarter page I would be very grateful.
There are several videos to check out and an explanation of what we are trying to do.
Thanks,
Brian

Sounds great Brian. Looks like you're well on your way to being funded.
If the funding gets high enough have you considered having vinyl pressed? Jazz collectors would love something like this on vinyl.

Hi Jason!
Thanks for the suggestion. I did think of that, but I wasn't sure whether it would make sense or not. We'll see how well the funding goes, fingers
crossed.
cheers,
Brian

Great stuff Brian, some lovely playing and music. I've made a pledge and wish you and the band every success. You deserve to get this project
recorded. The jazz/Arabic blend will hopefully become a genre of its own one day.
Best Wishes, Charlie

Thanks Charlie! Your support is appreciated.
Here's a sample of the calligraphy (final version may end up being slightly different):

Hello Brian- very nice band you guys have. Which oud are you using in the clips, and what is the mic you are using that is in the soundhole? The
instruments blend in well together. well done, MW

Thanks Matthew!
I somehow missed this earlier . . . the mic is an AKG411. It's a little stick-on condenser mic, I put it near the bridge inside the instrument. It's
a bit of a hassle to reach in to put it in and take it out, but it's not too bad and works well with live situations.
