Sound-sample 2
The 2nd sound-sample, again played by Raed Khoshaba... on an arabic Oud made of finest flamed walnut and flamed maple with three sound holes and a
calligraphy in the main rosette, special bracing and special pegs... also to be seen on my site
http://www.oud-werkstatt.de
The same environment, the same equipment...
Regards
Fritz

To my ears this one of the two is very sweet, lovely tone - both very nice and wonderful playing.

Very nice comment of yours... thanks a lot !!!
This Oud has been built as an artwork in all... it is absolutely custom made in almost every detail...
Giving the top a few years, this Oud will sound better with every year...
The owner of the two Ouds is living near to Raed Khoshaba... and so it was a luck that Raed played these samples for me on exactly these two Ouds. The
owner and I asked him for this "adventure" and Raed doesn´t hesitate to make it. Many many thanks for him !!!
It feels good that the sound is liked !!!
Kind regards
Fritz

Hi Fritz,
Very nice sound for both instruments.
Really I can't choose. A very little preference for n°2.
I'll take both.
And I recognize so good the "touch" of Raed.
He was my first teacher.
And my first year with him as a teacher has been crucial for the following.
Once again, congratulations Fritz.

Hey Robert !
Very nice to hear from you !!!
And again many thanks for the nice response to these sound-samples. Some people prefere the 2nd Oud, I know... and this Oud is clearly the result of
experience... I "learn" very very fast in making fine Ouds... and this Oud is one of my best until now... Yes, Raed is a friendly person... It´s good
to hear, that he´s recognised while playing my Ouds...
The next Oud is completed... perhaps there is a sound-sample played by myself soon on this forum... I´ll try my very best
Kind regards
Fritz
