I am trying to find the origins of the attached melody. I have been told that it may be of Ottoman origin. To my ears, it sounds a bit "juvenile,"
like a nursery rhyme.
Does anybody know anything about it?
I know the melody because, in the "Yerushalmi" (Jerusalem Jewish) tradition we sing the 150th Psalm to this melody.
