Free accomodation in Palermo (ITALY) for oud players :)
Dear oud players,
As I did 2 years ago, I'm glad to invite any oud player for a holyday in Sicily. I live very close to PALERMO (SICILY) and I have a very nice guests
room with its own toilet for you
I am also a couchsurfer so I like to host people, but in this case, the idea is to share some days with somebody talking about oud experiences and
learning something from each other.
I am intermediate level, very keen on sharing oud experience and taking you around "arabic" Sicily
Moreover, if anyone of you is looking to study with a teacher, I can introduce you my teacher Said from MOROCCO who lives in Palermo and he's very
keen on sharing his teachings with very little money
DOn't come in JULY please.. I have wedding gigs every night

Buongiorno Daniele,
What a nice offer! My wife and I had a nice visit to Sicily in 2004. I just want to add that Sicily has some interesting Arab/Muslim history (and
Jewish history) and architecture, and is home to the most Arab/Muslim city in Italy, Mazara Del Vallo. We met some North Africans in Sicily and
discovered Tunisian harissa (much better than the made-in-France brands). We also met a very friendly Lebanese monk in Trapani; he invited us to
lunch at his convent. We also caught a very nice (EU-subsidized) concert of Early Music at the Santa Maria dell Catena church, near the port.
Best,
"Udi" John
