Oudy things to do in Paris?
I am in Paris until Monday, and was hoping to find a shop where I can see some interesting ouds. Also looking for possible concerts. Can anyone help?
Thank You!

You lucky man. I wish I was there.
Not particularly oud related, but if you haven't been to Institut du Monde Arabe, it is worth a visit. Back along the Rue des Fossés Saint-Bernard
(heading away from the Seine) there is a small shop that sells used ouds and other Arabic bits and bobs.
Once again, not oud related, but if you enjoy a bit of Django, on Sunday mornings at the Place des Vosges you are likely to find a fabulous group of
"Hot Club" musicians busking. They (Borsalino) are quite famous in their own right.
Enjoy!!
Regards,
Greg

Hi Fernand,
you can find some Sukar ouds at Cham music : http://www.chamusic.com
If you visit Wolfgang's place you can try his own great ouds and some other that he has to sell : http://lepointdaccroche.com/
Concertwise, I'm not aware of anything this weekend.
Have fun in Paris !

It seems that you're here during a sort of blank this WE ...
I already appreciated musical stuffs at "L'heure musicale" (Musée du moyen-âge de Cluny):
"12 et 13 mai 2013 / Polyphonies 14e et 15e siècles
Entre ars nova et musiques de la pré-Renaissance, un parcours commençant avec Guillaume de Machaut (1300-1377) et finissant avec Johannes Ockeghem
(1420-1497), en passant par les compositions de Landini, Ciconia, Binchois et Dufay.
Ensemble Eia! / Pierre Bourhis & Hélène Decarpignies (chant), Jean-Lou Descamps (vièle à archet, chant), Hervé Mailliet (chant,
percussions)
[Concert proposé à l’occasion de l’exposition “Larmes d'albâtre”]" -> http://leblogducmmp.wordpress.com/tag/musee-de-cluny/
