Posting Song Sheet - "El Suenyo de la Hija del Rey"
I am posting my transcription of a Sephardic Jewish melody, “El Suenyo de al Hija del Rey.” It is a short and simple melody, but quite beautiful,
IMHO. It is associated with the Jewish communities of Salonika/Thessaloniki in Greece and Smyrna/Izmir in Turkey.
Some of the sources describe the song as an adaptation of a Greek ballad.
Here are two sample recordings:
Savina Yannatou: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtHV9PtKUSE
Françoise Atlan - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAFtWUUDWYw
Ladino lyrics and English translation here:

Enjoy!
Peace out,
“Udi” John

I notice an error in my manuscript. The first two notes win the 3rd bar of the song should be A - B flat (not G - A). I will correct the manucript
and re-post.
Thx,
J
