The pickguard is consistent with the design of other George Hanna ouds. The oud is very well preserved with only some minor cosmetic repairs evident
in the back. The face is undamaged and so it is very likely an original pickguard. There is no evidence that it has been changed.

Very few pickguards are identical even from the same maker. George Hanna used design elements that are recognizable in the variations of the examples
I have attached.
