Hey everyone!
Here's a video from a recent show I did, I had a different idea for 'taqsim' in this one:

I thought the oud taqsim was musical and good. It probably qualifies as what what J Tawadros calls "music for humans". If it's not a taqsim, then it's an "unmetred oud solo". Stick with that descriptor and you're safe :-)

I'm not qualified to comment on the taksim in terms of how different it is, but as a human, the music is awesome...both the taksim and the rest! I love it.
