musitions, bands, teachers in CA, East Bay
Hello everybody,
I have a work assignment in CA, Palo Alto for one year; i should start sometime in the coming months.
I play oud, tablah and sing. I’ve been playing for the past 10 years.
1. I would love to meet munitions, bands, and play together, please share u2u your numbers.
2. Also I would like to meet vocal instructor “Arabic music”, oud teachers.
3. Would like to know if there is an Ethno music program in a college for one year or 6 months in east bay that I can enroll in during the
evenings
Appreciate your replies and looking forward to meet you

Welcome to the Bay Area! Check out these sites:
Aswat Ensemble

Rehearsals in Oakland. We are currently working towards a concert in June, so it may be too late to join for this season, but it's a great
resource.
Elias Lammam

Classes are in Santa Cruz, but he's really good!

You could also try contacting Elias' brother, Georges Lammam, who is a violinist. He's on Facebook. He lives in San Francisco, and might be
available for private lessons.
I play oud (Arabic style mostly) and might be interested in getting together, if you find yourself in the East Bay. I also have a violinist I work
with who lives in Palo Alto. U2U me if you are interested.
Peace out,
"Udi" John

OK, I know you really meaning "musicians," not "munitions," but you really have to go for a hike in the beautiful Marin Headlands (north of San
Francisco - http://www.nps.gov/goga/marin-headlands.htm) while you are in the Bay Area, and while you are there, you should see Battery Townley (http://www.fortwiki.com/Battery_Townsley), a WWII-era artillery placement intended to fend off a Japanese naval invasion that never happened.
All the best,
John

I didn't get the U2U. You can try again or are you on Facebook? We could connect via FB.
