My musical Yazidi tribute

First attempt at composition so it's a bit ropey. I titled it Yazidi just as a nominal tribute to what they are going through, additionally this piece is in kurd makam.

Thanks, Marcus. The Yazidi are part of a Kurdish religion who have presently been driven into the Iraqi mountains by Islamic militants. Seems nice that the US have sent their planes over there to help them out and arm the kurds... but if they were being persecuted by, say, the Israelites I bet they wouldn't be so quick to help.

The Yazidi religion is Yazdânism, which, according to Wikipedia comes from the Kurdish/Avestan word yazdān meaning "worthy of worship".

Cheers,
