Here is an apprentice oud from Maurice Shehata's al Aseel shop in Cairo.

I striped the finish from the face so the raw soundboard would is exposed. These are amazing value for the money. I find very little difference in the
way the soundboard is constructed when compared to the more professional level ouds from Maurice.
