Yes! The whole design is original!
The nice thing about Ouds is that there is room for creative design!
And the sound of this oud is clear and pleasing!

This oud was in fact made in 1997 by Farouk Shehata as indicated on the label inside...

It's more Maurice rather than Farouk; since as much as I can recall Farouk had passed away some years ealier.
This does not have to degrade its value or belittle its beauty.
