Cemil Bey Nikriz Longa w/ Garage Band
I've recently been messing around with Apple's Garage Band, and it's a lot of fun! A year or so ago I bought some Arabic rhythm loops for it (I think
it was these), but it wasn't until today that I realized you can take individual drum beats, space them out, and loop them however you want. Of course
you can make your own loops if you have a drum, and I have done that in the past too. Anyway, if you haven't tried Garage Band or something similar,
I highly recommend giving it a try. 
Today I kind of copied a version of the Nikriz Longa by Cemil Bey that I heard played by the Istiklal Trio...a jazzy version that I find to be very nice. Their version is much better than mine! But I thought I'd share mine anyway, as I
do love addition of the jazzy baseline and all these solo possibilities with Garage Band:
