I was at this concert last night and it struck me how rare it is to hear oud music with female vocals.
Now I now that are two threads here about female oudists, that's not really what I'm asking. What albums are there of ouds with female vocals? Here is
what I have so far.
Anything by Negar Bouban
Waed Bouhasson - L'ame du Luth
Kamilya Jubran[?] - not really familiar with her work but I think there are vocals in there
Hamed El Marvi - Sound of Oud, In Concert Spain 2008 - some excellent haunting female vocals in the last track
[for the record I found the oud playing in the concert poor and left in the interval, but the vocals were enjoyable at least].
