Tarek Abdallah - Wasla
Hi All!
I just picked up this CD from itunes and felt the need to share it with everyone.
It's Tarek Abdallah on Oud and Adel Shams el Din on riqq. I really like this album because I feel it gives a very beautiful and authentic depiction of
the Egyptian traditional school of Oud (If you listen to either of the tracks called 'Taqasim Bayati' and 'Taqasim Rast' you would easily mistake the
playing for that of Qasabji).
It includes also Samais and Longas all in beautiful traditional arabic maqams. All in all I was very satisfied with this CD.
