The next Oud
Hi guys
The next Oud I make will be an outstanding one in design and workmanship... showing some more skills and highest quality.
This Oud will be made of light-weighted mahogany with a very thin top and 11 strings, tuneable in different styles up to high iraqi tuning, but
normally playable in every "ordinary" arabic tuning. I´m waiting for some wood now, so I began with the top made of finest caucasian spruce, planned
and sanded down to under 2mm. Now I´ve assembled very special mosaique rings around the three sound holes... please have a closer look...
