Any potential buyers should be made aware of the questions raised about this oud in the last thread (http://www.mikeouds.com/messageboard/viewthread.php?tid=15711 ) since James is asking for serious money now.

Yes. The year is unknown since the written years are (1917 and 1922) are not consistent with the label which was printed in the 1960s (when Dicran
Nadjarian started using them). I cannot verify either of those dates for the manufacture or repair of the oud so they are a mystery. The Rosette is
plastic and is not the original (the Rosette is a plastic copy of a Nahat Ickwan).
Nevertheless, Viken Najarian (Dicran's grandson who is also a luthier) looked at the oud last weekend and says it is authentic and "everything about
it says Dicran" so I have no doubts about its authenticity.
