Where to go?
Hi fellow Oud enthusiasts,
I'm looking to move abroad and one of my priorities is to begin, or begin again to take Oud lessons. So yes I am a beginner, or false beginner as I
had have some lessons here in London and in Cairo, Egypt where I lived before for a 1.5years and bought my first Oud.
I've just completed a Tefl certificate and will be teaching English in Malta over the summer, then to Athens- Crete for the Houdetsi festival. I'm
considering staying in Greece but I know the working situation isn't great at the moment, I would be looking for work as a teacher. I only need enough
money to get by and I'm used to living very cheaply. Other options are... going back to Cairo, to Istanbul, Beirut or even to Budapest... (I've said
Turkey but Ideally it would be Arabic Oud and not Turkish)
I would be really grateful for any suggestions or tips, new locations that I haven't thought of, Teachers, though as you may guess I am quite eager to
be out of London! I know its going to take some time, and I don't need a method to learn as quickly as I can, I'm happy to see how it goes. Oh, I am
also an (untrained) singer and always looking for opportunities to learn and sing more  !
