Khaled al Halabi Oud for Sale
Howdy oud people...
Khaled asked me to list this oud for him which is up for grabs. Completed just recently, it is identical to the oud I mentioned in the thread about
Khaled in the ouds section - except this one features a cedar face. Much nicer than the spruce version I think.
Some specs.
* 32 rib wenge bowl with triple stripe lines between, of lemon and rose.
* 61.5 vibrating string length
* cedar top
* Ebony fingerboard, raqma.
* Ebony bridge with rosewood and lemon decoaration.
This is a top end Oud as far as Khaled's work is concerned. You can only expect to pay more for a heavily ornamented instrument. The bulk of the work
here I think is the 32 rib bowl with triple stripe.

You'll notice in the clip, a second nut, on the finger board - supposedly this is similar to a floating bridge, but it also allows you to have an
alternative string length.
