Buy a Turkish Electric/ Acoustic Cut away Oud

Hi, I have 2 acoustic Ouds and I'm looking for Professional Turkish Electric/ Acoustic Cut away oud like SANDI that's not to expensive. I am in Australia so there is no chance to try one out. A video of the oud sounded good but when I asked about the action at the neck body join they told me it was 3 to 3.5 mm. I found anything over 3 mm was noticeable when playing. Any advice?

Hi Cam and welcome ;)

Usually, turkish ouds have a small action : 2 to 2.5mm. 3 to 3.5 mm is for arabic oud. You can not have the typical turkish buzz sound with 3.5 mm ... Sometimes some ouds have adjustable action like Sukar model but it is pretty rare.
Eventually, share here your video to have a better opinion.

Thank-you Sylud, I have 2 Ouds one has an action less than 3 mm and is the one I mostly play. The other one has a action over 3 mm and it is a bit springy and I use it only as a backup. I was looking for a electric or semi-electric Oud with guitar tuning pegs and has a reasonable electric sound. The SANDI looked good but I was put off when I found out the action was 3 to 3.5 mm at the neck body join. I might have to consider a all electric Oud if I can't find a good semi-acoustic Turkish Oud. In Australia we have to order from over seas which is a risk if you can't see it before you buy.

Perhaps there is a recommended Luther I could contact?
