KAMA: Live At Lincoln Center

Last year Mavrothi and a band he is in, KAMA, released their first album together, "Live at Lincoln Center":

About KAMA, their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/kamaensemble/) says:

"First imagined in 2012, the members of KAMA (born of lightning and sand) compose and perform music with a strong foundation in improvisation and mixing cultural styles, with jazz and rock intersecting sounds of the Silk Road."

This is an awesome album, and to me it does sound like a mix of the Silk Road and jazz. One of my favorite of Mavrothi's compositions, Lokrianos, is on it. Mav is so humble about these things that he didn't even tell me the CD was out, despite me being his student! So I'm sure most of you don't know about it either. I highly recommend checking out all of his albums: Ear to the Sky, Wooden Heart, and Sto Kafesli Sokaki. They're all super. :applause:
