Fantastic samai.
An old discussion in the forum in 2008 with the partition.

I just ordered the whole CD of Salim Al'Nur... again and again it's amazing how much I learn about our music and about (to me unknown) musicians on this wonderful forum! :applause:
Thanks Adel for sharing and best wishes,

Another version of Yair Dalal (also Jewish Iraki). Oud & percussion, easier for us the oudists :-)

Thanks for the analysis and score!:)

Love this piece and Salim Al Nur's album as well as Yair's version:applause:.

This Bayati taqsim from the same album is a classic of the old-school style also:

Here is a piece in this great maqam (Iraq) - Egyptian - 16th century:

https://app.box.com/s/w55hdx654vgco2uocg6y3kmtmi6usxg3

Quote:

From there it modulates to iraq, bastanegar (segah+saba) and huzam.

The above piece uses these modulations also (Huzzam/Rahat El Arwah is only alluded to but Bastanikar is featured a lot).
