Identifying these ouds

Hey Everyone,

I just came across a couple ouds and was wondering if anyone could help identify them.

Took some pics of the labels but I can't read Arabic.

Anyone familiar with these makers?

Thanks!

First from the right:
Luthiery Art Workshop
Mohamad Amin Abrahim
First supervisor at Gamil George's , experience since 1956.
Mohamad Amin Abrahim st.
Giza
(Cairo, Egypt)

Second from the left:
Nariman !
This's Persian, not Arabic. Navid may help with this label.

What is your story behind these ouds ?
Please specify more.

Mood: John Vergara Luthier Lord of the Strings instrument making and repair

My Persian friend says this about the oud on the left "Hi John, it is hardly visible... I see there is a street address written in blue ink, and then a signature at the bottom. The printed black letter sonly says "Music". Can you get me another shot from a different angle?"

So I guess.. can we get a few more shots of the label?

just would like to add that mohammed amin Ebrahim is the brother of the last luthier Fathi Amin. I am not sure whether the 2nd one is Persian or not. more likely it was restored by the luthier in the label

Hi,
The luthier is Nariman Abnoosian from Iran, more commonly known as "Nariman Abnoosi" and simply "Nariman" (1923-1982).

Hey Guys,

Thanks for your help in identifying these.

First off, these aren't mine. They were acquired by a music store in Chicago that I used to work at and they asked my help in identifying them.

They need some work, there are a few cracks here and there, clearly haven't been played in years. But I could tell they were interesting pieces.

They'll probably go up for sale online once we determine a fair price for them. If anyone wants more details on either of these please feel free to U2U me.

I added a clearer pic for the Nariman label.

In the Nariman label to the left of the name Nariman (printed) is written in Armenian script the name "Sahak"

Apparently this is Abnoosi's son who also made ouds. Perhaps he did repairs or even made this with his father's label.

Hi,

Nariman Abnoosi is my grandfather and I'd love to find his instruments as a way to connect with my musical heritage.

Any guidance?
